1. Yale University

Indonesian is taught at the Council on Southeast Asia Studies, Yale University, USA. At Yale, Indonesian is taught from entry level to advanced level for undergraduate and postgraduate students.

At Yale there is also the Yale Indonesia Forum (YIF), an interdisciplinary group of students and faculty with a common interest in Indonesia. YIF also organizes various events such as seminars, workshops and conferences.

2. Al Azhar University

Indonesian is also taught at Al-Azhar University, Egypt. Not only that on this campus, Indonesian is also the second language used every day.

This is because the language is widely used by the majority of Southeast Asian countries, whose population is mostly Muslim. The use of Indonesian also aims to introduce Islamic thinkers who are not widely known by Arabs.

3. Universita degli Studi in Naples, L'Orientale

Indonesian is also taught at the Universita degli Studi di Napoli, L'Orientale, Italy. Initially Indonesian Language and Literature at this university was introduced by Alessandro Bausani who is a professor of Islamology and Persian Language and Literature.

4. Institut National des Langues et Civilizations Orientales (Inalco)

Institut National Des Langues Et Civilizations Orientales (INALCO), Paris obtained the facility for sending Indonesian language teachers for foreign speakers (BIPA) from the Language Development and Development Agency, Ministry of Education and Culture in 2018 and 2019.

5. University of Vienna

Indonesian is also taught at the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology, University of Vienna, Austria.
